Elephant Trekking
Elephant is Thailand’s national animal, it has been side-by-side with thais more hundreds of years. If helped thais travel cross countries and the vast rivers, it helps farmers and woodcutters pull down huge trees, and it fought wars along side soldiers and kings!
Today Elephants are still working hard for this country, although not in wars and such, but rather in tourism industry. ELephant Trekking is among the most popular activity on every tourist destinations in Thailand, also on Koh Samui. Tourists join the elephant trekking in thousands every year on Koh Samui to experience this fun activity.
Two options exist, either a 30 minutes or a 1 hour long trekking on the beatiful creature. It will guide you through the rich natural tropical forest and mountains to the waterfalls in the deep mountains where you can swim. You can take photos to remember these amazing moments and give bananas to the elephants to thank them for their service.
Elephant trekking on Koh Samui is recommended for children of the ages above 8. The Namuang Waterfall an elephant camp at Namuang Safari Park you could take your kids and see the majestic elephants where your children will find it hard to leave. The ride for kids there will last somewhere around 30 minutes.
